We are pleased to announce that Yuko Watanabe has joined the Tokyo International Law Office team.

Yuko has nearly 20 years of experience at leading Japanese and international law firms, providing a broad range of legal services to domestic and global clients in areas involving financial regulatory matters, corporate and commercial transactions, and regulatory issues in the renewable energy sector. She has particular strength in cross‑border matters spanning the U.S., Europe, and Asia, international regulatory research including relating to financial regulations, and the coordination and negotiation of complex transactions involving multiple stakeholders.

She has also developed a hybrid expertise that combines hands‑on legal practice with system and process design, through her work in building knowledge‑management frameworks and introducing new AI tools. Drawing on this experience, she is committed to delivering practical and internationally informed solutions to address clients’ legal and business challenges. The addition of Yuko to the firm will further support our commitment to deliver successful outcomes for clients.
