Naoki Uemura joins the Tokyo International Law Office team.

We are pleased to announce that Naoki Uemura has joined the Tokyo International Law Office team.

Before joining TKI, Naoki worked as a public officer at the Japan Fair Trade Commission (“JFTC”) for three years, assessing cases concerning antitrust law violations, and handling hearings, appeals and litigation related administrative orders issued by the JFTC.

Naoki has also worked at the Tokyo office of a major law firm, representing both Japanese and overseas companies in merger filings and antitrust law cases: including cases concerning unjustifiable premiums, misleading representations and the Japan Subcontracting Act. Therefore, Naoki is able to handle a wide range of matters that necessitates correspondence with the Consumer Affairs Agency.

Naoki has a broad range of litigation experience - both in antitrust and other areas. He also served as a legal officer of a foreign company, advising on general corporate matters. His experience ranging from antitrust, litigation to general corporate, gives Naoki the ability to advise on across several areas of law.   The addition of Naoki to the firm will further support our commitment to deliver successful outcomes for clients.
