Earl Rivera-Dolera joins the Tokyo International Law Office team.

We are delighted to announce the addition of Earl Rivera-Dolera as partner to our firm.

Earl’s experience spans Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, U.S., Japan, England and Wales acting or advising as counsel in international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration, commercial mediation, and cross-border litigation.

She has also been appointed as chair of the tribunal, sole arbitrator, and co-arbitrator in arbitration matters across India, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, working with major arbitral institutions such as ICC, SIAC, JCAA, VIAC, and in ad hoc arbitrations. She has also been appointed as disputes board member in construction projects. She has also acted as counsel in commercial mediations in New York, Singapore and Vietnam.

Earl’s diverse experience spans complex, high-value disputes arising from M&A transactions, cross-border sale of goods, construction and engineering (EPCs and multi-party and multi-contract transactions), licensing and distributorship. Her experience spans a wide spectrum of sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, mining, commodities, shipping, maritime, shipbuilding, technology, medical devices, real estate development, among others.

Her work includes over 180 arbitration, mediation and cross-border litigation matters globally, in various capacities. In addition to her counsel work, she has been appointed as tribunal secretary to prominent international arbitrators with arbitrations seated in Nigeria, London, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Korea, Qatar, Delaware (USA), France, Germany, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, among many others.

Notably, she has co-authored two editions of the Halsbury’s Laws of Singapore: Arbitration and she has authored the seminal, comprehensive treatise on commercial arbitration in Vietnam analyzing all arbitration-related judgments made publicly available by the Ministry of Justice, Vietnam. Earl’s background, track record, legal acumen, and global reach will further enhance our firm’s international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution practice.
